The International Committee has had an interesting year with a number of projects approved and several others commenced and underway. I would like to thank all the members of my committee this year for the terrific effort they have all put in and for the support they have provided. Strong committee support always makes the role of Director substantially easier.   The main projects undertaken or supported so far this year are:   Sacred Heart Primary School Tour To Japan ($1000) Christine Pitman from the Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School gave a presentation of their plan to provide a Teacher Exchange with the Japanese School of Toyomastu Junior High School. Thirteen teachers would be traveling and then teaching at this school while in Japan. Joint committee funding of $3000 was provided with $1000 to come from Youth, Vocational and International Committees.   Rotary Club Web Site: The Web Site has been well established now for the past nine months and attracts a considerable amount of traffic each month with regular visitors from the UK, Japan and the USA. Each committee now has their own page, our special projects are fully described and mail is now directed to a positional email address.   Interplast Australia: A donation of $2,000.00 has been provided n for this very worthy cause.   Indonesian Orphans:  A donation of $550.00 has been provided for the continued support of 5 Indonesian orphans for the next 12 months. Regular updates and letters are received by the club from these very grateful children.   Paul Harris Fellow:  A Paul harris Fellowship was awarded to President Christine Ralph for her tireless work with Handicamp and her ongoing support for Rotary.
