President Mike Raspa

Mike and Louise met in their very early twenties and married in 1971. They have three children, Lisa, Leanne and Aaron and also four grandchildren, Kasey, Brody, Jacob and Kiera.

After completing High School and ready for University, Mike, through circumstance, joined his father in the family printing business and completed an apprenticeship as a Compositor. After working in the business for some eight years, Mike felt it time to strike out for something new.

He was successful in joining Esso and within two years was running the Esso Service Station, Langford. Mike then accepted a position as Manager of the privately owned BP Service Station in Newman until his farther became ill and Mike had to return to Perth to manage the family affairs.

After two years of running the family printing company, Mike sold out to a Stationery company and joined Xerox as a digital print salesperson. This proved a rewarding move as Mike won three Par Club competitions and monthly medals. In 1994, Mike made the move to Melbourne as Victorian Sales Manager of Expo Document Copy Centre for two years after which he left to join a Silk Screen Printing Company based at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges. After a year with that company, the call back to Perth was too strong and in 1997, Mike rejoined Expo as Print Facilities Manager and facilitated in the install of two print cells within large Mining Companies.

Mike now works as a Senior Account Manager for Project Services Australia one of the leading digital printing organisations in Western Australia.

Mike was invited to join the Rotary Club of Thornlie in 2002. The time he spent as Vocational Director was very rewarding and he was honoured with a Paul Harris Fellowship by his club. This year is Mike's second stint as club president.

Mike and Louise both enjoy the fellowship of Rotary and are looking forward to growing up with their grandchildren.
